VIRTUAL EVENT SERIES

"Supporting virtual learners in an equitable way"

All over the continent, education leaders see how the COVID-19 school shutdowns have led to a deepening of the opportunity gap. Lack of internet and computer access means that too many of your students face digital barriers to learning before they’ve even started class. It’s an equity problem that we need to fix now.

Join Dr. Dennis Carpenter as he discusses digital equity with Dr. Adam A. Phyall, Director of Technology and Media Services for Newton County School System, and Dr. Mark T. Bedell, Kansas City Public Schools Superintendent, along with leaders like you who are concerned about equitable education for all of your students.

In this vital conversation, you’ll learn:

  • What the emergence of pandemic pods means for digital equity
  • The inequities in how broadband is disseminated
  • How you can support virtual learners in an equitable way
